A Picture is Worth A Thousand Words...........So Why Are You Mute?

The say that a picture is worth a thousand words. Evidently there are allot of people that still don't believe that! I was in one of the chat rooms and subject turned to the ever so popular profiles out there and how you can tell if they are real or not. I know that there will be people that will disagree with me on this but here it goes. I noticed the other day several people were bemoaning the fact that they were confused by the various profiles in the chat and whether they were real.Well all I can say is this. If you are looking for a Master or a slave then you need to fill out the profile. and NOT just the basics. There nothing more frustrating then clicking on a profile because the name or handle sounds like someone you'd be interested in to find it blank. Now I'm not talking about totally blank, but all that is there is the their name or handle and few basic stats and where they are from. Of course if you are locationally challenged, that may be all that you need to know. However, for those that are serious about Long Term Relationships, then distance isn't really a factor. The profile is there for you to sell yourself basically to the people that you are targeting. Well it begs to question, would you by a car with out ever seeing it? This is the 21st century and it is the easiest thing to upload a photo and fill out the profile. The fact that the profile is blank except for the basic questions that the service asks for tells you allot. It means that this person isn't serious if they can't take the time out to fill one out. After all if you are wanting a relationship then you need to do all that you can to find one. Including filling out the profile. I mean, when you click on some one's name cause they have piqued your curiosity, you want to know if you are compatible. Is he looking for the same things you are? What does he do for a living? what are his hobbies and are you interested in the same ones? how would you know when the profile is blank? And most importantly in the leather community. Does he want to do to you or have done to him ,what you are looking for in the sexual are of a relationship. The photo is important to! Now I understand there are parts of the country where if you are gay it is still a major thing and if you are in a high position then you don't want a pic out there to tell all and out yourself. But by the same token, How are we as a gay community supposed to let our fellow brothers and sisters know that it is OK to be gay and that you can be whatever you want to be if we aren't brave and courageous and put a photo in a profile, leather site or regular, that will show your face? or the least you can do is have a picture that you can send after you have chatted. it isn't that hard to do and if you are real then you are going to have to show your face to even have the relationship. what I find funny though is the fact that those that moan and groan the loudest, are the very ones that don't have a profile filled out or a picture. Unfortunately our society is very visual in nature, so a picture is an essential thing. After all, the very thing that draws you to someone is the look they have that you find appealing. A picture is worth a thousand words.....so start talking!
