There May Be Snow on the Roof, But there is a Fire in the Fireplace

This entry is a little different than those of the past. This entry is more about the gay population in general and not so much the Dom/Master /slave/sub type. This is an entry based on societals view on a very tough subject. Growing Old! Or growing older I should say. Growing older isan't exactly what we live for. I mean it is something that happens to us with out trying. You can't stop the clock as it were. Which begs to question, why all the discrimination against getting older? No where is that discrimination so prevalent as it is in the gay culture. It is as if turning 40 makes you invisible ands you no longer are perceived as having feelings or that you matter anymore. What is even worse, is if you are single. Then you are also perceived as not being sexual anymore or wanting to have sex. You suddenly become an unviable person to have a relationship with. Whether you are a top or a bottom or both, you don't seem worthy of getting any attention form those that you wish to have a LTR with. What astounds me, is that at some point and time the very ones that are discriminating become the discriminated. The younger generations seem to forget that they will also be your age if they make it that far! Age should just be seen as a number and not as the determining factor in whether you have a right to exist and have sex.You are suddenly not allowed to have feelings or any sexual desire. That, we all know, is ridiculous. It amazes me when a Dom shows disinterest or even disgust if a sub a few years older(5-10yrs) shows any interest in them. Sometimes to the point of being rude about it. It is even more amazing to me when a Dom 50+ yrs old won't even consider dating or talking to someone if they are over the age of 35 or 40. When it only makes sense to me to be dating someone with 10-15 yrs of each other. After all, I have said it before and it is worth repeating, what does a 55yr old have in common with a 20yr old. They both have a thing for Britney Spears? If you can't relate to something other than in the bedroom, then it is no wonder that you are single and can't find a Dom or sub. I personally thing that 40 -65 yr olds are more sexy than a 20 yr old. To me being sexy is about the WHOLE person, not just whether or not he looks like a model or has a big dick. I have seen some hot jocks that were in there 50's and 60's. It does give pause to think aboput it the next time you go to a site to try and try to find someone to date. Where Is The Orkin Man When You Need Him?

I couldn't believe what I saw in the chat room I visit the other day. There was a guy that came in that was HIV neg and was looking for an HIV poz Dom to infect him. It was brought to my attention that these kind of men are called bug chasers. Here the world is trying to stop the infection rate and mortality rate, and then there is this guy. And he isn't alone, from what I have been told. There are several of them out there that think it would be great to be infected and have HIV. I don't know what they are thinking or their reasons, but the reasons I can come up with are a dead in, in my opinion.
The, its OK and doesn't matter attitude, is what is so appalling. I mean they must think in some wacky way that once they are infected they are free to have sex with anyone and everyone and it doesn't matter if you have safe sex or not. What most of these bug chasing morons seem to forget that there are several strains of HIV out there. Some of which are resistant to the current HIV treatments. I think they think that because of the advances in Medical science , it is a manageable disease like diabetes. While there have been allot of advances made in the treatment of HIV they all lead to the same ending- a shortened life span and death. There are some strains out there that will kill you in 3 months if untreated and even then you only have about 2yrs maybe with treatment. I don't call that a manageable disease. I can only imagine that these bug chasers are on a suicide mission. They must want to die but think this will be the best way because they think the stigmatism of suicide is greater than the stigmatism of dying from AIDS. Either way it means cutting your life short and you are still committing suicide. Maybe they think that at least this way if a cure comes along they don't have to take responsibility for their actions in getting the disease. I am at a loss.
There is only one other reason I can think someone would want to get infected. The non-response ability for one's self that can go along with being infected. What I am talking about is the ability to get public assistance. Government housing, food stamps, SSDI(if they have worked long enough) or SSI, and health care(Medicare/Medicaid. There is an attitude among many young people these days that they are to be kept for simply existing. BS! They need to grow up and be a man and take responsibility for ones self. If they are looking for the easiest way to live, then they have joined all of mankind since creation in that effort. We would all like to find an easier way to live and is a constant goal of man kind.

A Mark, A Yen, A Buck, or a Pound is All That Makes The World go Round! .....yeah RIGHT!

Something recently occurred in the chat room I visit and it has all the Masters and SIRS as well as the slaves and subs talking. What I am talking about are the people that come into a chat room and call themselves "Cash" Masters or slaves. These individuals will take cash to be someones Master or Slave. The thought of this is very disconcerting. In my opinion, these are the new bloodsuckers and despots. They prey on people that for some reason are desperate for another person to love and to be with. I know there are people that will pay for sex but come on. Giving money to someone half way across the world and that you never REALLY touch or serve, seems a bit preposterous. While doing this it makes one feel sad for the person paying for this "phone or cam" sex. And the person taking advantage of another's desperation and getting money says allot about the character of that person. Is this the new evolution of relationships? When do we as a society say enough! These "Cash" Masters and slaves are very self-centered and egotistical in nature. And they come across as lazy individuals that think they should be given everything they want just for existing. Please! You have to EARN respect, money, and social status, not buy it , which is what seems to be the case with these individuals. Their Ego is only exceeded by their arrogance in thinking that they are so grand that it should be a privilege to pay them! What a CROCK! Everyone knows of individuals that are like this and tend to avoid them. well that is all I am going to say for now on the subject. Name it and I'll Tell You What To Feed IT

Tghere has been alot of talk about the game players and all on the net. I have spoken with several Masters and slaves about this very thing. They are to the point where they aren't looking anymore because they fveel no one knos what a relationship is. I think they may have a point. I think that many Masters and slaves both don't know what that is. I have to say a Master that I know of said it best. A relationshiop is about building something together for you both to enjoy with each other. The sex should be secondary. Unfortunately our society as a whole has made sex the focal point and definition(wrongly so)of a relationship. I have always said that if Sex was what makes and defines a relationship, then I could have a deep and meaningful relationship with the produce section of my local grocery store!I mean let's face it. Sex doesn't require any thought or effort to have. You don't even have to have an emotional connection with the other person. a relationship on the other hand takes effort and work. It is about sharing and paying the bills and living the way BOTH Master and slave or sub wants to live. You have to share a common goal and be willing to work for it. Unfortunattely in our self gratification NOW Society, that point has been lost. The generation gap is taking it's toll. anyone 40 or younger usually doesn't know what it means to be involved with someone. The key word is involved. Involved in more than sex but involved in the other person's life. so when a Dom or Master fo 50+ wants a sub 18-35 depending on the mautrity leve, they will get someone that thinks that a relationship is about sex. they seem to think that they will have sex with someone and see igf they are worthwhile to be with. That isn't they way to have a lasting asnd true relationship. It takes several chats and pkone calls to get to know a person before you are willing to meet and have sex. If you think that sex is what a relationship is, then you must think life is supposed to be az 24/7 porn flick! This is why a relationship with someone close to your age is best. You have something in common growing up and can talk to each other , other than saying "Fuck me SIR".You don't run when the first time things get tough or the two must make sacrifice and compromise . well that is all I am going to say for now. But it is something, whether you are str8 or gay, to think about.
