Mirror, Mirror OnThe Wall...........It's not Your Reflection, Not Yours at All

Well I have to talk about something that I think is overlooked. An incident happened today that I will tell you about and you can tell me what you think. I know a Master and his slave/boy, they have an open relationship which I knew about and don't care one way or another. However, the boy was in a chat room and acting to be honest, slutty. While i don't care about their open relationship i do care about the Master. He is a very good friend and for me friends are also family. I pvted the Master to ask him if he was seeing how his boy was acting. Knowing full well he would tell his boy about the inquirery. The reason that I pvt the Master to ask this is because a slave or boy is a reflection of the Master. The Master, in this case, is known to have a very good reputation and a classy one at that. He is known for his integrity, honesty, and classy character. i didn't want that to get sullied by his boy acting so badly. Slaves need to realize that they are the reflection of their Masters. I guess in an OldGaurd sense, i was looking out for the Master.i think that it is the way it was a long time ago in the old gaurd way of looking out for each other and helping each other. Since a slave is a reflection of his Master, then a slave's reflection is his and also his Master's. So if a boy is acting out of character then it is assumed that it is ok with the Master and his character may come into question. i was concerned about that in this case as i consider the Master a great and good friend. I didn't want the reflection that was being given off to be a reflection on him. of course the boy went off when he found out and called me everything but a whiteman. it seemed to upset him so that it is cause to wonder.......Did he realize how he looked and was ashamed. Who knows. you know what they say about a guilty conscience. well i was not trying to start anything by pvting the Master s i was just making him aware of the situation so he could decide if it was appropriat or not. If i offended either one of them I am sorry to have done that. i didn't mean to cause any harm. You Did That on Purpose.......Which is a Good Thing!

There seems to be some confusion on what it means to be a Master or slave. Through my recent discussions with both, it seems to be a source of consternation. People often associate the word Master and slave with how a person likes to have sex. While that is certainly part of it, it isn't the whole of it. When people think of the word Master, they immediately think of a dominate personality trait that defines them. That can be dangerous to assume such. There are some people that are very submissive in their career, yet when they come home they become very dominant and agressive. The same can be said of slaves. They can be very dominate and agressive in their careers, but become 100% submissive once they are at home. I don't know how many times i have heard of slaves going home with Masters and once they got home they became the submissive to the shock of the slave. And Vice versa from what I have been told. Being gay, we learn from an early age to hide our true selves for fear of rejection or violence. Sometimes that becomes an intergral part of us, to our detriment. I think this is where the gamers come in. They have a hard time being honest with themselves. But that is another subject for a different entry. In order to define if someone is a slave or a Master you must not only look at the word but at what purpose it conveys. The Purpose of a Master is to be served and pleased however he determines that should happen. He also has a Purpose of taking care of another human beings wellfare-ie: His slave.He is also to be giving. By that I mean that he should give the right amount of dominence that a slave needs and wants so that their is a Mutual exchange of needs and wants. That isn't to say that a Master can't be all about himself. There are some slaves that want a Master that is all about himself and enjoy that. however as i said, the Master's purpose is also the slave's wellfare. That means that while a slave may turn over his paycheck to his Master, the Master has an obligation to put what is left after his half of bills and expenses into a savings account for the slave so that they will have a nest egg should something happen. To many times i have seen Masters that want their slaves to work and give them their money to support the Master in a lifestyle he wants to be used to with little or no regard for the slave and his future. That is terribly wrong and isn't the purpose of the Master.
The same can be said of the slave. If you look at the word slave in the dictionary is says "{ a person that is owned as property by another human being.}" While that is a good definition it isn't stating the purpose. The purpose should aslo be included in the definition. The purpose would be to serve and please his Master in a way that the Master wants. That can be sexually as well as domestically, which is usually the case. With that in mind both the slave and Master should do these things 100% and with maturity.A slave should want to serve and please his Master because they enjoy making others happy and get sa sense of pride in that accomplishment. The purpose of a slave is also not to be a burden to his Master. Which means that he should be ready, willing, and able to help with the expenses of the household. That can mean working or having a source of income. Whether it is a trust find, disability check or 401k. the slave is to make a Masters life easier. I think if everyone went by the Purpose as a definition, there would be alot less of the B.S. that is played out in the rooms. The next question is how far are you , as a slave or Master, willing to go to be in that kind of relationship. That is cause for another entry. Bitter Bater.....And the Masters and slaves that make it.

I seems that I have come to some observations about some of the Masters and slaves in the rooms that hasn't gone unnoticed by others. There seems to a sense of bitterness in the chat rooms from some individuals. These individuals seem to think that because someone feels they aren't right for each other and doesn't take them up on their offer, then they aren't real and are fake. Because of this rejection, they become bitter and espouse that in their demeanor in the chat rooms. The problem lies in learning from their experience and growing from it. We as human beings are always changing. Sometimes for the better and sometimes not, depending on the idividual's adaptability. It is not learning to grow as a human being that causes the conflict that can lead to bitterness.
The main cause of this bitterness seems to be whether a person is Quote"real" or not. Meaning, are they a real Master or a real slave. One of the qualifiers it seems, is whether or not they are going to meet. i have to admit that in my past i was unable to meet because of legal and financial reasons. Being from the south, I was too ashamed of myself to admit theses barriers to potential Masters. i found excuses not to meet. However, this has to be said, I have grown and that was the past. For any Masters/SIRs that I offended i am truly sorry. But, that doesn't mean that I am not real or that the Masters/SIRs are perfect. Afterall if they were perfect, as a friend told me, there would be alot of Masters on crosses-----if you get my meaning. Many of the Masters that I have met online after one chat seem to think you are instantly theirs and that you are to come clear across country on their say so in the least few days after the conversation as possible. Like the next day. While things have changed in my life and am now more able to meet with Masters, I still want to chat a few times before setting up a meeting. While i can't meet across country due to the fact I only get 2 days off a week, I can meet someone for two days or a weekend with in driving distance-Houston,San Antonio, Austin, Tyler, and the Dallas/Ft.Worth area. i will have to leave the farther meetings until i go on vacation. But I have digressed.
It has come to the attention of my friends and others that the bitter Masters and slaves are the ones that have been rejected several times over the years. Many times one needs only to look at the pool of people that you are offering yourself to, to find the reason. I mean the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over agian and expecting different results. If you are an older Master or slave, by that i mean 60+, and you are constantly offering to be with 20 somethings then you need to take a step back and think about reality itself. Think about it if you are 20 and the other person is 60+ then it would be like being with your grandfather. How many times did you at that age really want to be with your grandparents? so of course in those instances Masters and slaves will be rejected by the younger person. Like the old saying goes, don't go barking up the wrong tree. I myself fine that Masters 40-60 very sexy and have no problem being with them. My excursions into Houston over the last couple of years will testify to that. I have also noticed that the Masters and slaves that seem to be bitter about not finding anyone to meet or that is "real" are just as guilty of doing what they say they dispise in the other person. Psychologist call that diflection. Meaning deflect what it is that you do onto someone else and get the attention away from yourself. So one must think about themselves and their own track reacord before going off on someone or in the room spreading negativity and bitterness that is uncalled for. No one likes to hear it in the chat rooms and besides, the one spouting off usually comes across as arrogant and with something to hide. Ok enough. The bottom line is that people change and we as humans must learn to change or there isn't any growth as a human being. It is when we evolve into ourselves and become whole and our own do we really have what it takes to be in a relationship whether it is a BDSM one or a vanilla one. Oh Really?..........Hide and Watch!

Well the new year has begun and my search continues for the Master i need, want, and was meant to be. It hasn't been east, this search. A lot a fakes, players and bullshit. One of the things that makes it so difficult is that I am in a small east texas town and didn't have the means to travel. That has all changed with the beginning of the new year. I will be able to travel and get to bigger cities and expand the search to real time as well as the nety. This will be an exciting year. I plan on finding my Master this year. I know that I will I just have to have faith and be patient. i know there is a very dom agressive top Master out there thatis just waiting on me to meet them. now I will have the means to do so, at least in Texas. I have a new job with the weekends off. That leaves me time for a trial visit and will hopefully find my Master. Will this entry is just a short one and thought I would put it out there. Happy New Year!!..........Who The Hell Are You?!

Happy New year! Well it is the beginning of a new year and time to turn over a new leaf.....or in our cases(M/S) a new collar and strap. That being said, what I am talking about is starting off the new year right. The past is the past and we are starting off on a new day, or in this case, a new year. Time to find the Master/Dom or the slave/sub of your dreams this year! Many will be trying to do just that here on the WEB in the various Leather/Discipline chat rooms. But, There is a problem that has been brought to my attention and seems to be a pet peeve of both Masters and slaves. The dreaded chat profile. As i mentioned earlier in another entry, about how one enters a chat room and then says nothing. Yet, they complain that no one talks to them or they ignore it when someone does say Hi. The least you can do is try to increase your odds by having a complete profile. Here are a few of the things that seem to be of importance that is being overlooked by many Masters/Doms and slaves/subs and are a source of irritation to the others on the Net in the chat rooms. No one likes talking to a blank wall. So, put a CURRENT pic of yourself in your profile. It is 2009 and you can get a disposable camera and have it developed on a CD. From there you can download it to your profile. Let's face it, one of the first reasons we talk to aomeone is that they have a look that turns us on. Without a pic on the profile, your look can't turn anyone on and get them to speak to you. A pic opf your body parts isn't what I mean either. The face that we will be looking at for the rest of our live, God fobid the relationship lasts that long, is more important than your appendeges.The other area of concern seems to be the fear or apprehention about stating what you are. I mean, all the pics in the world aren't going to help to know if you are a Master/Dom/Top or a slave/sub/bottom or if you are versatile. You would be surprised how important it is. If someone does want to say hi to you and you are a Master/dom then those that aren't will know how to address you properly in the room in front of the others that are there. This is very important to many in the chat rooms. Which brings us to the other half of the equation, stating what you are looking for.Not only stating what you are, Master/Dom, but what you are looking for. Another Master? a Dom slave? what? Then it would be helpful to know why it is that you want when you find what you are looking for. Are you looking for cyber? Don't get me wrong, that is perfectly fine but it would be helpful to know that in advance so that you can get to it and not waste time talking and trying to get to know the person. If you are looking for a hook-up NSA then say so in your profile. There is nothing wrong with that either. It helps so as to not get up any expectaions of developing a friendship or relationship on the part of a party that is really looking for a long term relationship. It is called being honest about yourselve and respecting others and their feelings as well. If you are there to have a real relationship then by all means say so. We seem to have the art of making a laundry list of expectations- that are not based in reality. Reality is you have to live in the world. If you are looking for a LTR with someone you need to state that you are willing to do your part and contribute to the household (reality). Helping to maintain it and help with the bills. No one gets a free ride. Especially if you are in a REAL relationship-Leather, vanilla, gay or straight. It would also help if there was something in your profile that said you are relocatable or willing to move or willing to help out with the move. These have been a few of the comments that I have heard in the Leather/Discipline rooms that I visit among both Masters and slaves. This give pause for one to think about it in the next coming year. If one is truly set to find that Master/Dom or slave/sub then please by all means have a complete profile. Well I think that you get the idea. How can anyone know if they want to chat with someone when they know nothing about them but maybe where they are at or an age.That is another thing, put your real age down.
