Sign On The Dotted Line.....Or Not
Hello Everyone. It hasn't been long since my last posting but something came up that I had to write about. Master/slave Contracts. It seems that they caused a bit of a stir in one of the chat rooms that I frequent. Some are for them and others are not. Some use them and require them before they will take on a Master or a slave. The one thing we can all agree upon is that they are not legally recognized in any civilized country. I say that because believe it or not slavery does still exist in some third world countries. So, if they are legally recognized it begs the question, why use them at all? Well just so that there is an understanding, the contract is only as valid as the extent participants give credence to them. However, it is my belief that they can be useful tools and enhance the Master/slave relationship. Let's face it, we have been taught to believe that we must honor contracts or there are consequences. Granted, there really is no consequence to not honoring a Master/slave contract since they aren't enforceable., but surely there would be bad feelings on the participants. Since we are taught to honor our contracts we make with people, it is a useful psychological tool for a Master to use. Psychological reinforcement is a strong measure that a Master can use for some control. Provided, of course, if the slave believes in honor and commitment. The same can be said for a Master. Either party can back out at any time. However, a contract can be a great tool in the negotiation of what is expected from both the Master and the slave. Things such as to what happens if something should, God forbid, happen to the other person. Will a slave work outside the home? What about assets that the slave has and is bringing into the relationship? What about inheritance, or if one should get seriously ill? How the money is handled as well as property? these are the things that can make a contract useful in the Master/slave relationship. There are however some documents that are legally binding. Especially if a slave gives a Master Power of Attorney. Then there are some legal responsibilities that must be adhered to. Whether or not you use one or require one is up to the individual Master. But I think that for some slaves it gives them a sense of comfort to know that everything is spelled out and nothing is going to happen to them that they don't already know is going to happen.I personally like to think that it is a good thing and will have one with my Master when the time comes for me to join him. Well that is all I am going to say about that. As usual if you want to leave a comment it is welcomed and if you want to get in touch with me my e-mail is raven15@consolidated.net Have a wonderful day!
